What should I expect on my first trip to Whorton Bend United Methodist Church?

We've heard from many of our first-time visitors on how well our church is filled with love. As our members can say, we stick together through it all and are there for one purpose, to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As you enter the Sanctuary, there will be a stand at the front door to pick up the Morning Worship bulletin. You will be greeted with loving people to welcome you to our church and worship service; someone will have a visitor card for you to register your attendance with us and a prayer card to fill out if you should have any prayer concerns that you would like to have our church pray with you about. If you should have an infant, a nursery will be provided during the worship service if you desire. A handicap entrance is available, just come in and ask someone to assist you if needed and to open the door! We worship just as any church does! We give God the glory he deserves by singing hymns of the church, affirming our Faith by way of different creeds in the United Methodist Hymnal, share a time of prayer & prayer requests, and much more! What time should I be there?

We have several gatherings on Sundays: Morning Worship at 9:30 AM and Coffee & Sunday School at 10:30 AM. Please visit our Worship & Fellowship section for detailed information regarding our services/fellowship gatherings.

What should I wear?

Come as you are! Dress ranges from casual to professional. As the song says, "Come, just as you are!" God takes everybody in His house no matter how you are dressed!

How can I join Whorton Bend United Methodist Church?
